The Peedam
Sri Sri Rajarajeswari Peetam was established in the year November, 2008 and is located at No.9, I floor, Kalidas Avenue, behind Kalidas theatre, Vadavalli, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The Peetam was consecrated by Swamiji Shaakthasri Om Sri Aathamananda naatha. The Peetam started in a small way and established for a global cause, and has gained momentum and at present considered to be an important place for worship and grievances, submitted at the feet of Devi Rajarajeswari, get mitigated and people go back with peace of mind. The devotees continuously visit the peetam for the sanctity of the poojas and homas conducted periodically on all important occasions. These are performed diligently by Swamiji himself which have won him lots of devotees. Swamiji regularly performs poojas for various kumbhabisekam for temples and he has devoted his life in the lotus feet of Ambal.
Swamiji’s past doesn’t have any resemblances to the present stature he enjoys. He started his life like any other normal person but suddenly transformed by the blessings of his guru and took at recourse towards spiritualism. In 2008, he had bountiful blessings of Ambal and cast away his worldly pleasures and took to Vanaprastam and later Sanyasam at Varanasi in the young age of 38. Ambal has been behind Swamiji’s growth and stature and he has been destined to construct a temple for Her in a design which has never been done so far by anybody and he is totally devoted to the project on hand. In this direction, he has already started forming a trust and the registration will be done shortly. All the activities will hereafter to be done in the name of the trust. The details of the trust will be updated in the website shortly.
Ancestors of Swamigal:
Sri Nithyananthanaatha was the grandfather of our Swamiji. Nithyanantha Naadha was one of the ardent devotees of Ambal in the early 1920s. He hailed form Magudanchavadi, a village in Salem district, Tamilnadu. The period from 1928-1956 was considered to be his glorious period. He was known to most of the people in religious and spiritual circles. He has performed lots of homas and poojas for Ambal and his greatness was known by the fact, Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakodi Peedam Sri Sri Chandrasekarendra Sarawathi Swamigal visited Nithyanantha Naadha at his residence.
His visit was mainly to have the darshan of Ambal because Ambal had the ceremony of ear boring (Thatanga Prathista). The ear boring was done on the special day of Full Moon with Makam star in the Tamil Month of in Maasi. Sri Ambal had desired that the Paramaacharya should visit Her. During his visit Sri Paramacharya had taught in secret to Sri Nithyananadanaatha.
Sri Nithyanandannaatha’s long cherished dream was to institute an Ashram and construct a temple for Ambal and his dream is now in the process of being translated to reality by our revered Swamiji.
